Inspired to pick a scarf as a theme this week, by Spy-Girl, I've worn this one to mix and match with some different color combos. Multi-colored scarves are a good inspiration!!
I'm recovering from a springtime flu-pharingitis-whatever at the moment, after a pair of days at home (too sick even to watch tv), but I'm feeling better. I'm still coughing and hoarse, but, hey, spring is almost here (irony)

Inspiración de esta semana para escoger un pañuelo como tema, tomada de Spy-Girl. Y he llevado este chal para mezclar y conjuntar con varias combinaciones de color. Los pañuelos multicolores son una buena inspiración!
Me estoy recuperando después de la habitual gripe-faringitis-loquesea primaveral, después de pasarme un par de días en casa (y demasiado hecha polvo hasta para ver la tele), pero ya me siento mejor. Todavía estoy tosiendo y ronca, pero, mira qué bien, que la primavera está ya llegando (ironía)

there's method

Though this be madness, yet there is method in 't.

Even if I like to improvise when dressing up, sometimes I just resort to some guaranteed ensembles which I've learnt to mix and match quickly. There's a method in my madness!.
When you're in a hurry, just throw a complementary color on your ensemble, and then add a secondary color which matches it, and everything would look way more interesting!.
So I'm going to make a recap about some of my easiest color combos. Sometimes I like to stop and glance at whatever I'm doing.

Aunque me guste improvisar al vestirme, a veces simplemente recurro a unos cuantos conjuntos ya bien probados que he aprendido a combinar rápidamente. Como dijo el Poeta, hay método en mi locura!
Cuando tienes prisa, sólo con añadirle un color complementario al conjunto, y luego un color secundario que combine con él, ya consigues que todo parezca mucho más interesante!
Así que estoy haciendo un resumen acerca de mis combinaciones de color más fáciles. A veces es bueno pararse y echar una ojeada a lo que estás haciendo!

1. Blue + yellow/orange
I've worn this color combo a thousand times. And I'm willing to wear a thousand more, because it works nicely!.

Lo he llevado miles de veces, y estoy deseando llevarlo mil más, porque funciona estupendamente!

2. Teal & Purple
No complementary colors, nor rules can explain why I like so much purple and teal/turquoise. But I think that royal purple adds just a deep and rich color to any ensemble, it's the warmest of cold colors!

2. Azul Pato & Morado
Aquí no hay colores complementarios, ni reglas que puedan explicar porqué me gusta tanto el morado con azul pato/turquesa. Pero creo que el púrpura real es un color tan profundo y rico, y es el más cálido de los colores fríos!

3. Teal & Red
There's a lot of teal and turquoise involved in my outfits. Acutally, I think teal is just a dark and wintry version of turquoise, so I use both of them indiscriminately. And Red color is simply appealing to me. Particularly, red dresses!

3. Azul pato & Rojo
Hay un montón de azul pato (o azul petróleo) y turquesa en mi forma de vestir últimamente. En realidad, creo que este tono azul pato es simplemente una versión más oscura e invernal del turquesa, así que utilizo cualquiera de los dos indistintamente. Y el color Rojo es que sencillamente me gusta. En particular, los vestidos rojos!

rain & blues

Sharing something more sensible for a rainy day, boots and coat included. Obviously, I've got some black boots, but it was so rainy and cold than I prefer to wear something funny!. When I bought this pair of boots I was guided by an intuition, it was not a well pondered purchase!. But I've learnt through the years that my sensible purchases are fails almost all the times!. So, when I see something crazy colorful which makes my heart beat faster, I'm not afraid of purchasing it because of its color (usually, it's all about the price!!)

Hoy toca algo más razonable para un día de lluvia, incluyendo abrigo y botas. Claro que tengo unas botas negras, pero hacía un día tan lluvioso y frío que me apetecía más llevar algo divertido!. Cuando compré estas botas tomé la decisión por pura intuición, no fue precisamente algo meditado!. Pero he aprendido con los años que mis compras más meditadas suelen resultar en fiasco, la mayoría de veces. Así que, cuando veo algo locamente colorido que hace que el corazón se me acelere, no me asusta lanzarme a comprarlo (más bien suele ser el precio lo que me espanta!)

swooshing factor

It was raining and I picked a maxi skirt and a shearling coat, which proves I'm not a sensible person at all. It was a comfy outfit at least, and I managed to don't step on my own skirt, even when there were some stairs in my way. Stairs are evil!
Which I love the most about this skirt is that it swooshes when I walk. Swooshing factor is usually understimated, because it can't be shared through usual pics, but it's part of the enjoyable experience of dressing up!.

Estaba lloviendo y he elegido ponerme una falda larga y un abrigo de piel vuelta, decisión cuestionable y nada prudente. Al menos estaba cómoda, y me las he arreglado para no pisarme la falda, incluso cuando me he cruzado con unas cuantas escaleras en mi camino. Las escaleras son malignas!
Lo que más me gusta de esta falda es que hace ruido cuando camino. El factor susurrante está muy poco valorado, porque no puede trasladarse a través de las imágenes, pero es una parte de la experiencia, y es algo divertido!

share-in-style: yellow

Wearing my usual sunny yellow cardi to join Share-In-Style, because it's time to cheer up our Monday with colors. It's a no-black outfit, which it could sound pretty deliberate, but it wasn't!. I like black clothes too, but I prefer to wear them into graphic black&white ensembles. As I'm wearing colors all year round, I tend to avoid black as a neutral (never thought it was really), and I've been reducing my black clothes stock. So it's easy for me to wear a no-black winter outfit indeed!

Llevando mi habitual chaquetita amarilla para unirme al Share-In-Style, porque es momento de añadirle colorido al lunes y animarnos un poco. Como podéis ver, no llevo nada negro, lo que podría parecer hecho a propósito, pero no. Me gusta la ropa negra también, pero prefiero combinarla en un estilo gráfico con blanco. Según voy llevando más colores todo el año, tiendo a evitar usar el negro como color neutro para todo (tampoco es que fuera mi estilo). Así que la ropa negra ocupa cada vez menos en mi armario, y resulta muy fácil que acabe vistiéndome de invierno sin nada de color negro.

It can look as if I was wearing my new brogues all the time, but I promise you that I wear other shoes (and other clothes, obviously!), but don't have enough time or energy or good light to take pics of them. I've been lacking of them (time, energy, good lighting), and I blame spring for it!. But I'm not going to give up.

Puede parecer que llevo mis nuevos zapatos todo el tiempo, pero os aseguro que a veces llevo otros (y también otra ropa, claro!), pero nunca tengo tiempo, o energía, o buena luz, como para sacarles fotos. Me han estado faltando mucho esas tres cosas, tiempo, energía y luz, y la culpa de todo la tiene la primavera!. Pero no me voy a echar atrás.

We're having somme sunny days as a promise of spring, even when it's still chilly in the morning!. And that's what I've worn to go to work and run some errands (as usual) including a visit to the doctor to tell him about my pharingitis (as usual). Spring is not everything about flowers and sunny weather (and lots of rain too), it's also about welcoming allergies, asthenia and other health issues!.

Hemos tenido unos días de sol absolutamente primaverales, aunque aún haga fresquito por la mañana. Y esto es lo que me he puesto para ir a trabajar, hacer unos recados (como siempre), incluyendo ir a consultar al médico sobre mi faringitis (como siempre). La primavera no va a ser todo florecillas y buen tiempo (y lluvia también), también conlleva darle la bienvenida a las alergias, la astenia y otros problemillas de salud!

think pink

We've enjoyed a pair of unusually warm days, so snow on our nearby mountains melted quickly and rivers were nearly overflowing. No problems here, but some country areas were affected, particularly truck farms and kitchen gardens. Obviously, these are no good news.
Anyway, this mirage of spring was short, so we squeezed it, walking, running errands and staying outdoors as much as possible. We even have a beer at a terrace yesterday!. And today some snow is forecasted, once more!
I've been wearing my pink shirt with some leggings recently purchased on ebay. I like this kind of long men shirts, because they can be worn many ways, and they've got an 80's vibe!

Hemos tenido un par de días de calor totalmente fuera de época, así que la nieve de los montes de alrededor se fundió rápidamente y los ríos han estado a punto de salirse del todo. No hemos tenido problemas por aquí, pero en el campo sí que hay zonas afectadas, sobre todo huertas, una verdadera lástima.
De todos modos, este espejismo de primavera ha sido corto, así que lo hemos exprimido al máximo, saliendo mucho, haciendo recados y en general, estando en la calle todo lo posible. Incluso nos tomamos una cerveza en una terraza ayer. Y hoy se supone que vuelve a nevar, claro!
He estado poniéndome esta camisa rosa con unos leggings que compré hace poco en ebay. Lo que me gusta de esta clase de camisas largas de hombre es que dan mucho juego, superpuestas o no, y además, tienen un punto muy ochentero!

Joining a Share-In-Style: Topic Free, with my new shoes which I was dying to wear, even if weather was not particularly suitable for shoes (At least it was not raining cats and dogs!). These shoes really appeal to me, they're maryjanes, they're two toned and they've got that brogue style I love!. Absolutely my cup of tea!.
As usual, Mr.A. took my pics when we were running errands, before we were carrying our bags full of groceries, fish and mussels, bread and newspapers. It was really a good booty!. And my new shoes didn't hurt me, which is almost incredible in any shoes, and it's amazing in a tough looking pair of shoes like this!
I'm going to have a busy week, but I'll try to keep my blogging as usual. (Unpredictable!)

Me uno al Share-In-Style: Topic Free, feliz con zapatos nuevos, que estaba deseando estrenar, incluso aunque el tiempo no acompañase (por lo menos no llovía a cántaros!). Estos zapatos fueron absolutamente irresistibles para mí, son merceditas, en dos tonos, y tienen ese perforado de los brogues que tanto me gusta. Hechos para mi gusto, del todo!
Como de costumbre, Mr.A. me sacó las fotos mientras hacíamos recados, antes de cargar con las bolsas llenas de verduras, pescado y mejillones, pan y periódicos. Buen botín. Y mis nuevos zapatos no me hicieron daño, lo cual es casi increíble en cualquier zapato, y ya entra en lo maravilloso si tiene esta pinta tan durísima!
Voy a tener una semana ocupada, pero intentaré mantenerme blogueando como siempre (impredecible!)
