skirt & sewing

This new skirt I've sewn recently is becoming a favorite, and there's fabric enough to sew a pair of pants (next project). It was a big piece of african cloth, purchased at a local shop which was winding up. Not good news, but at least I took advantage of heavy discounts to buy fabrics, and told my friends to do it too.
Linking to 52-Pick-Me-Up: Honey, with my honey-colored shawl. And some orange color too.

  1. I loooove your skirt! This fabric was screaming to be owned by you, and the way you've styled it with the shawl and colours boosts its gorgeousness. I'm glad you have enough fabric left for pants too. Too bad the shop is gone but at least you have this to show for it.

  2. What amazing colours and you look so happy and vibrant! I love the shawl. I would buy it and bring it home and discover it didn't go with anything I have. The pattern in the skirt fabric simultaneously reminds me of eyes, peacocks and purple winged moths. It's fantastic! xo Can't wait to see the pants!!
