I'm not a huge fan of earthy tones, so it has been difficult to pick something to match this vintage skirt. Luckily, there's some teal and orange in the print, so these were the colors I chose.
This shirt came from a bag of discarded clothes stored in my parents' attic. It was a white shirt that I dyed using a (classic) tie-dye technique. I dyed another white shirt too, using same dyestuff, but the resultant shade was really different. There is alwasy any unexpected result when I dye some clothes, it's a part of the fun!
Weather has improved a lot since I took this pictures, and we're wearing sandals now. From puff coats to sandals in ten days, spring is being a really short season!.

That's a great way to integrate a colour scheme that doesn't go with much in the main neutral colour in your closet! That orange top is such a juicy bright colour! I love it!
ResponderEliminarThat is the great thing about a print, you can choose which colour to emphasize.
ResponderEliminarOur weather has finally turned a corner as well. None too soon! It is wonderful to be able to head outside without a coat.

I think you did a fantastic job, the bright colour with the earthy tones makes it more balanced instead of boring. You always look amazing. Happy new week to you xx
ResponderEliminarI love the orange and teal in your otherwise neutral skirt. With colours like these, it's a doddle to combine, and you did a wonderful job by choosing both! I love the tie-dyed shirt! Isn't it wonderful that Spring has finally arrived and we can say goodbye to our warmest Winter stuff? Besos xxx
ResponderEliminarSo very clever to pick out the teal and orange in that skirt, they really pop with the tights and fabulous tie-dyed top! xxx
ResponderEliminarYou did well tie-dying this discarded shirt! And you did so well combining orange and teal with your vintage skirt, making the outfit totally ours! 10 days seems like an awfully short Spring indeed. :)

The tie dyed shirt is a triumph - so much more interesting than white. I love the print on the skirt and how you've picked out the colours in the skirt with the rest of the ensemble. I find the mid calf length skirt/dress very difficult to to wear so I usually avoid it or wear it with long boots. That rules this length out for summer of course!
