Even if I've changed my mind into a summery mood, we're still in spring and that means some rain and unpredictable weather. Anyway, I've worn my starfishes beach bag, particularly because it was that I've picked last night and put all my stuff into it. I had to add a raincoat in the morning as it was chilly and rainy, but I've kept the summer vibe!
Last week I didn't visited any charities nor flea market, because I'm still unpacking and taking care of my summer clothes and I feel a little bit overwhelmed, so much stuff!. Having a look and decluttering looks like a good idea. I have still some clothes that I sewed last summer and never wore.
Anyway I'm wearing for the first time these new pants and blouse which were bought some weeks ago. These red pants were purchased at a clearance sale which sells leftovers and discarded clothes from department stores. I had to fit them and remove the (unflattering) pockets, but it took me a short time. I'm always looking for red pants, and these ones are really comfortable and well made.
The blouse was made of a lounge/muumuu dress which came from a second hand pile at Sunday flea market (3€ and it's made of silk!). This kind of dresses make nice shirts and blouses with a mínimum effort, you only have to cut out some fabric. I'll keep them in my radar in the future!
Joining Patti and the visibles for another Visible Monday and linking Fake It Until You Make It with another bold spring work look!. Have a visible week!

I can't help but be cheered up by your balcony flowers, so vibrant. And so are you, Monica, in your new red trousers and that fabulous silk top. What a great idea to alter a lounge dress into a top. And there's nothing better to put one in a Summer mood than by carrying a beach bag! I know what you mean about being a bit overwhelmed by stuff. I had the same. I always have a good clear out, but now I have 4 boxes and 5 big bags full of stuff from previous clear outs, ready to be sold at a flea market in July. I really hope to be able to get rid of some stuff that way. Besos xxx
ResponderEliminarI looove silk. What a great find and revamp.
ResponderEliminarNot having grown up with seasons, I too find the wardrobe sometimes difficult to juggle.
I hope you find your way through!

How fabulous you look in this red and turquoise combination! I would never have thought to put these two colours together and that's why it's so good to see what my other blogging friends are up to - such inspiration from you today Monica. And most of all, I adore this starfish bag. Do keep me in mind if you ever tire of it!

Those red jeans are perfect and the converted dress is just fabulous with them. I love your starfish bag as it always reminds me that summer is almost here!
ResponderEliminarGorgeous geraniums! Mine were battered by the biblical amount of rain we had on Sunday (a whole month's worth in an hour!) xxx
You definitely look visible, dear Monica! You do aqua and red so well - I love the patterns and shades together, and your star fish bag is a star of the show! I am also in love with your pink flower boxes - so fab!!
ResponderEliminarIt seems that love of clothes is what unite many of us here in our part of Bloglandia, and it's a bit of a madness really, but such an innocent one! We are having good fun with our clothes!
I love those red pants, and how clever of you to customize them and to recut the muumuu into a blouse! I am just awful at doing that kind of thing (no interest or inclination doesn't help!). Happy week to you, my dear!
