scarves & couture

Yesterday I went to the market for some food supplies (fresh vegetables and fruits!), so I could enjoy a walk outside, even for such a short time. I did my groceries shopping quickly and used plenty of hand sanitizer, which was available for customers at many stalls. I noticed that people were being really careful, keeping the distance, but also particularly kind, which is very significant (in my opinion).
Now I'm back to nowadays business as usual, at home. Which means that I've been wearing some comfy clothes, even if don't rule out the possibility of wearing something dressy in the weekend to have our usual apéro (homey glamour!). I think that many simple things in life are still available, small pleasures like chatting with friends, practicing pilates (well, not really pleasant, but quite rewarding in the end). Hope you enjoy my company too!.

I made this kimono of two scarves on May2019 and also made a (crap) sketch to show how to make it: here. I can't offer you a guarantee of not getting a pair of destroyed scarves and a frustration feeling in the late afternoon, if you try it. But it's a really simple sewing, for beginners!

- sporty trousers, C&A (old) / pantalones cómodos
- striped t-shirt, C&A (old) / camiseta de rayas
- sneakers, Adidas outlet (old) / zapatillas

  3. First of all, of course I do enjoy your company! You're an oasis of calm and colour in the middle of these trying times. Plus, you must be one of the only people who can make sporty trousers look fabulous. I would never even have noticed they were sporty trousers if you hadn't mentioned it, especially as they're in your trademark turquoise! And they look brilliant combined with the red striped tee, and that gorgeous kimono-made-from-scarves! Glad you were able to enjoy a short walk outside, even in these times when home feels like the only safe place! I'm sure you'll find plenty to keep you occupied! Do stay safe, Monica! xxx

I love your wonderful turquoise and coral outfit - your scarf remake is wonderful, and almost makes me want to take up sewing (not going to happen!). I'm glad you made it outside.

    Hugs to you!

    1. Thank you, Sheila, you're lovely.
I think it's too early to be optimistic, but I believe that most people share a sense of community and togetherness which is really helpful.
Glad that you've thought on sewing (even for a second), ;DDD
