I'm back at home just to find Autumn in its full glory, rainy and cold!. So I'm taking it easy, trying to switch my mind to a non-vacation mood but keeping the good vibes.
And nothing better to keep the good vibes that some photos of bouganvilleas. I'm already missing them!.
That Bougainvillea is magnificent, and how lovely and atmospheric is that little whitewashed alley? I'm loving both of your gorgeous, Bougainvillea-matching maxi dresses too! I'm sure it's not fun to return to Autumn in full swing, though. Here's to keeping up the good vibes! Besos xxx
ResponderEliminarmwahaha, I do love the idea of bougainvillea-matching dresses, totally lovely!.
EliminarAnd it's not easy to keep my mood up, when we have had to switch on the heating!
How beautifully you're matching the bougainvillea! Do you have bougainvillea in Spain? I love both your dresses and sandals. It's definitely Autumn here and the summer stuff has been put away...
ResponderEliminarTake care and stay safe,
xxx
I'd love to grow a bougainvillea in my balcony, but they only grow in warm climates, in the south of Spain. It's not that I live in a really cold region, as there are vineyards and olive trees, but we have chilly winters here in the north of Spain.
Eliminarbesos
Bougainvillea grow all over the southern United States, but unfortunately I live in the north :)
ResponderEliminarThey're a beautiful backdrop. Glad you had a nice holiday.
No bougainvilleas here in the north of Spain either!, I'm missing them and the warm weather too!
EliminarI'm a big fan of Bougainvillea - we stayed in an apartment with a terrace covered in it last week!
ResponderEliminarI'm so glad you managed to get away and enjoy Portugal. The last couple of days have been lovely - a pleasant welcome home - but it's distinctly autumnal today...grrr! xxx
ahhh, those terraces covered in bougainvilleas!, so fabulous!.
EliminarIt's rainy and cold now, and we've switched on the heating!, it's a really shocking change!
Welcome back! Oh, that bougainvillea is gorgeous! We don't see any of it here. I know, it's hard to get back into the blogging mindset when you've been away. Take your time.
ResponderEliminarLove your bright colours! I almost didn't recognize you in the last picture, as you don't have your vibrant lipstick on! A tip from me: L'Oreal is making semi-permanent (non-drying!) lip glosses that go on with a wand - it's called Shiny Lip Ink. I have bought several colours in the past month, as it resists rubbing off on my masks, and doesn't blur around my lips (it is a little sticky on the mask, though, but not too bad). It's about $15 for a tube, but I'm loving it. :)
Thank you for this tip, dear Sheila. Perfect timing, as I'm looking for some permanent lipstick to wear which doesn't blur under my mask. Not wearing lipstick make me feel frustrated, as I have had to give up on other accessories, like wearing rings (hand sanitizing!). Small details can make a difference and cheer my day up!
EliminarI love those flowers - and the way your clothes match them so well! Those whitewashed streets look so pretty.
ResponderEliminarso glad you like them!, and totally agree that these streets are so pretty!, missing them!
EliminarI haven't been wearing lipstick either, and up until we started wearing masks I wouldn't go anywhere without it! Perhaps I'll try the one Sheila recommended too. Glad you had a nice holiday. Summer is a memory here and we are into full on Fall weather - chilly and raining.
ResponderEliminarI've been wearing a mask outdoors all the time, but missing lipstick even if anybody can see it. It makes me feel 'dressed up'.
EliminarWe're now into full on Fall weather too!
