These brass and bronze bracelets are also homegrown vintage, as they have been around since I was a teenager (sigh). The massive pendant has been neglected for years, because its leather cord was too short, but I took it to a specialized haberdashery and pick a new chain, so now it's completely functional. I'm not a huge fan of golden jewellery, so I preferred a bronze colour chain that could match other pieces I already own. Some small changes make a difference!

------Going back in time!. I'm doing a flashback in this waistcoat and realised it has been worn for more than ten years. Most outfits are pretty similar and built around any black dress, but there is some Red Colour too and black and white stripes. I'm amazed that I wore this piece so many times!.
Feb2017 - Nov2015 - Nov2013

EliminarThese trousers are really comfortable!, viscose fabric is a favourite of mine. And I also love when a piece keep being worn through time and generations. Not that frequent that I can wear something from my mom's wardrobe, as we're very differently shaped.

I'd already admired your outfit's top half on Instagram, and now I am thrilled to see it in full :-)
ResponderEliminarYour DIY trousers are gorgeous and you should be proud of your achievement, no matter how long it took you to finish them. I love how your styled it with the black polo neck and your Mum's furry waistcoat, which I'm glad to see you are rocking as well! Your earrings are fabulous, and so is that pendant, which certainly deserved kitting out with a new chain. Scrolling through the waistcoat's flashback was an absolute delight! Besos xxx
Thanks, Anne!. Making these trousers has encouraged me to keep on sewing!.
EliminarSo lovely that this furry waistcoat is receiving so much love! and I'm also glad that the pendant got some airing after being neglected.

What a fun flashback. A great piece like that waistcoat deserves all the wear it can get. I love your new trousers-they look very skilled to me. Beautiful print too.
ResponderEliminarThanks, Goody!, I'm happy with my trousers and planning to repeat same pattern as they're really comfortable!

The leopard gillet goes perfectly with the colours in your newly-made pants. Leopard print goes with a surprising number of colours (but looks especially good with black and red).
ResponderEliminarTotally agree that leopard goes with lots of colours, so it Works as a neutral for me (my kind of neutral!). I love it with red!

Those trousers look great!
ResponderEliminarI completely understand not wanting a hobby to become a chore. It's so easy to start seeing them as tasks to be done and finished, rather than things we love because we enjoy doing them.
