The weather is becoming more spring-like, which usually means that spring asthenia comes up, so I'm trying my best to avoid the most annoying symptoms. Some time ago I realised that a trip to a southern place with lots of sunshine and some excursions in the nature worked a miracle, but this is not possible in these covid times. So I've been faking it by going for a walk almost every evening, having some melatonin-tryptophan supplements and eating even healthier than usual. I'm also keeping myself away from computer after work, so I've been neglecting my blogging and commenting (sorry!, but it's for a good reason). I'm having troubles with comments too, sometimes they are deleted other times doubled, which is frustrating. On a happier note, my pansies and geraniums are in bloom and I'm considering a visit to the garden center to shop some gerberas and more geraniums. Even small balcony pots can create a green space to enjoy!.

What is spring asthenia? I get allergies at this time of the year from some of the pollen (beech), but I've never heard of that.
ResponderEliminarI love love LOVE all your wonderful colours in these two outfits, Monica! That first dress' pattern is stunning! And I'm making grabby hands at your amazing aqua Doc Martens! How fabulous! Here's to spring, and flowers!
Spring Asthenia is just a seasonal disorder, caused by changes in luminosity and temperature, and it usually produces sadness, anxiety, lack of energy, headaches and some other physical symptoms. Nothing really serious, but annoying. Allergies and Daylight Savings make it worse!.
EliminarThanks for your commment!, I'm totally into a Colour Therapy! and feeling happy that I can wear my Doc Martens again (fussy feet have been less fussy!)
besos
I'm loving the rich jewel shades in these outfits, they'd go well with my new vintage Anokhi jacket! the Docs are a fabulous colour and I love the storks and pansies.
ResponderEliminarJon used to get hay fever but it hasn't troubled him for a few years now, long may it last! xxx
Lovely that we share a love for jewel shades!, and your jacket goes with them so well!, fab piece!
EliminarAllergies are really annoying, glad that Jon has not suffered them last years!.
besos
I don't know what Spring asthenia is but I'm sorry you get it. You look so Spring like in these lovely colours. What beautiful dresses. I love the floral print of the first one but I am a big fan of floral prints. Your mum's coat is fab and I love your purple (?) jacket with those amazing earrings and of course the brilliant made by you Frida brooch.
ResponderEliminarThe pansies are so pretty and just look at those storks on their nests - I would be so excited to see storks here in the UK; apparently we do have one resident stork - according to a nature programme I watched a few weeks ago. Let's hope so!

I'd to explain something about Spring astenia, as it's not well known. As I've commented, Spring Asthenia is just a seasonal disorder, caused by changes in luminosity and temperature, and it usually produces sadness, anxiety, lack of energy, headaches and some other physical symptoms.
EliminarGlad that you loved my dresses and these colours. Storks are really frequent here, I can see them everyday when I go for a walk. They look magnificent when you see them flying!. Hope you can see some of them soon!
besos
I'm sorry to hear you suffer from Spring asthenia, Monica. I hope you can keep the symptoms under control - in spite of not being able to escape to anywhere warm and exotic - and that you can enjoy the spoils of Spring in spite of it. We lived in a 12th floor apartment for a couple of years, and our balcony was filled to the brim with plants and flowers. It makes such a difference, doesn't it?
ResponderEliminarI'm loving the dress with the blowsy flowers worn underneath that magnificent vintage magenta coat. That chain necklace matches the coat's colour perfectly too!
You are a sight for sore eyes in your second outfit, which skillfully combines purple and turquoise. Those Doc Martens are stunning!
And how lovely are those pansies and stork's nests! Besos xxx
Thanks, Anne!. I'm missing our usual escape to Canary Islands, but it's just a 'first world problem' and I know I'm totally spoiled!.
EliminarSo amazing to live in such a high building (my record is a 7th floor apartment which had some stunning views!). Totally agree about balcony pots!
Lovely that you liked my outfit and matchy necklace, this kind of details make me happy!. Purple and turquoise make one of my favourite colour combos ever!

Thank you
totally in love with both dresses and that red coat!!
ResponderEliminarand the way you´r combining colours!
understand that you need a break from staring at the computer screen after work...... but i will miss you´r colourful postings und lovely comments. (i had double ones from you lately - did you register that i do moderate so that you will not see them directly?)
flirty storks in a nest - definitely spring :-D
besos! xxxx
Glad you liked them, dear Beate!. And glad that you understand the computer fatigue (sometimes I write from work too, as there are some down time moments).
EliminarSorry for the doubled comments. Blogger pushes me out when I try to publish a comment (even in my own blog). It's damn annoying.
Watching storks is one of the best parts of my daily walks!
besos
I'm not sure what Spring Asthenia is - is it like Asthma, or some other respiratory illness? I have pollen allergies (like Sheila) so once everything starts coming out in bloom I'll be sneezing with itchy eyes. I totally understand the break from the computer screen - I have been working from home for a year, and after 7 hours staring at my computer for work, I just can't wait to shut it off. Unfortunately, it means I have fallen terribly far behind in my blog commenting.

EliminarI had to write about this in the blog!
Sorry that you're dealing with the computer fatigue too, 7 hours a day are more than enough!. Sometimes I miss having more free time, but now I'm back to full time work, so it's difficult that I can catch up with commenting anymore!

Beautiful outfits and the combination of purple and blue is always a favourite. I've never experienced any sort of seasonal disorder, but it sounds frustrating. Here's hoping the sunshine and warmer weather break through early for you.
ResponderEliminarHow utterly wonderful are those storks!
I'd never heard of spring asthenia - I've looked it up and it sounds really rotten. I hope all the steps you are taking help, and the increased sunshine does its thing.
