Even if the meteorological summer begins on 1 June, I've always considered that Summer doesn't start properly until Midsummer with the bonfires of Saint John. However, we're having such unseasonably high temperatures that I'm changing my mind. Summer is here to stay, apparently.
Since I switched my wardrobe to Real Summer, I've realized that I own too many clothes, and that some of them are not my thing anymore. So it's time for a massive declutter. Actually, I think it can be even relaxing to let things go, instead of being stressed by an overwhelming amount of clothes. And I'm not only trying to keep my wardrobe in a manageable size but I'm also trying to improve it!. So I'll be focused on shopping only quality pieces that I really love (which is a real challenge!).
This is another patchwork dress I sewed during lockdown (I enjoyed the process actually!). The denim jacket was worn only in the early morning, then we've been over 30ºC. But mornings can be chilly (which means that I almost freeze my feet in sandals). Usual weather chat!

I wish you luck on your mission; as you know I'm trying to do the same thing. Reduce the amount of clothing and when buying 'new to you' pieces look for quality. I'm still trying to reduce the amount week by week and at the moment not shopping.
ResponderEliminarI love your patchwork dress and the ombre denim blazer - such cool vibes. I also loved your colourful skirt and orange top; such a lovely combination. And as always you have matchy matchy sandals!
Looking forward to seeing you on Friday.

One day, I'm sure, I'll try to do the same and seriously declutter my wardrobe. Good luck with your mission, Monica!
ResponderEliminarPhew, I'm melting even just reading about your 30°C. Not my cup of tea at all. Hurray for Real Summer wardrobes!
Your patchwork dress is delightful and looks really great with the ombre jacket, which is such a cool piece. The funky patterned skirt worn with the orange top is the epitome of high Summer! Besos xxx
Patchwork perfection and batik brilliance, two wonderfully summery outfits.
ResponderEliminarGood luck with your decluttering the wardrobe, I had sold loads of mine but I seem to have acquired so much over the last week I'm back to where I started from! xxx
I'm loving these patchwork dresses you've been making. They're great!
ResponderEliminarI've also been going through some style changes lately, but I haven't slowed down on my shopping. I just keep giving things away!
