As I've taken this week off, last week was my last one at work. So I had to wear my Christmas sweater, which is actually a Nightmare Before Christmas one (by local retailer Eme). Striped tights and skirt by Snag. Old puff jacket (retail) and Adidas outlet sneakers. Crochet scarf-thing and beret.
Impermeable Seasalt. Some mixed prints which I know are not everybody's cup of tea. Probably too many colours involved, but who cares!. My polkadot coat is becoming a favourite since I shopped it last year retail (label Sophiacurvy). Self sewed tunic. Tights and skirt by Snag. Sneakers by Adidas (outlet).
We ran errands on Friday evening, instead of our usual Saturday morning routine, so we could avoid crowds. Not the best time of the year to run errands, so I always try to have my stuff done before festive season. I wore this self sewed minidress and my new Camper shoes, which are both really comfy. This dress is quite short, so I only wear it with tights (or leggings) and always under a longer coat. I'm not a huge fan of that 'modesty' thing, but comfort is first in my book.
Wishing you a Happy New Year with some Strawberry Trees from a local city park. See you next year!.
It's funny I'd never heard of a strawberry tree before or even seen one; until recently on a Friday walk someone pointed one out to us!
ResponderEliminarLoved all your outfits - they're always very playful as well as colourful. And of course being comfortable in our clothes is the most important thing no matter what other people think. I think long boots would look good with your gorgeous heavy cotton dress with warm tights or leggings underneath.
Happy New Year!

As always, I'm loving your colourful mixed print outfits, Monica. I'm a big fan!
ResponderEliminarYour Nightmare Before Christmas jumper is fabulous, and I love the striped tights you wore with it. The crochet scarf and beret are gorgeous too.
I agree with Vronni that the cotton dress is the perfect length to wear with long boots. It would be a shame to just keep it for wearing with sandals in Summer.
Like you, we have been running our errands early to avoid the mad rush and the crowds. It feels really good to get everything well on time, so that you can then relax, doesn't it? Wishing you a Happy New Year! Besos xxx
You've always done such a fantastic job of inspiring with color! I'm revisiting your blog and enjoying it. I use to have a style blog called Walking Colors and was happy to see you're still blogging. Love that you showed an upclose of the front of your tunic in the second photo because as soon as I saw it I wanted to zoom in! Happy New Year!
ResponderEliminarHello, dear Joni!. I've read some of your comments in other blogs and felt glad that you were around, and taking part in the blogosphere. It's lovely that we still remember each other ;DDDD
EliminarThank you and Happy New Year!
Fabulously colourful and inspiring outfits as always! Like you say, pattern mixing might not be for all but who cares, it's all about being comfortable in your own skin (and clothes), if others don't like it it says more about them than you! The colours of the heavy cotton midi are gorgeous, so rich and jewel-like.
ResponderEliminarThat strawberry tree is incredible.
Sending lots of love for a Happy New Year! xxx
What fabulous outfits to wrap up another stellar year full of colour, Monica! I love that you included "Nightmare" in your Christmas looks (hee!) and I love that comic-inspired you-sewed tunic! I am also not all that into modesty for modesty's sake, but I do take certain steps just for my own comfort level.
