Actually it feels nice to have some sunny days in the middle of the winter season, even if that southern winds bring dust and pollens too, which are definitively not nice. It's unseasonably warm in the evening but mornings are still chilly (around zero temperatures) so I have to wear my coat when going to work. However I've gone for a walk in the evenings wearing a lightweigh jacket, when temperatures raised to 18ºC. Totally springlike!.
I wore same skirt three times, totally into my repeat offender attitude. It makes me feel I'm making the most of every item, rewearing it as many times as possible, being creative, mixing and matching. I think this works better in the winter wardrobe, which is more 'reduced' in my case, so there's not the urge to wear every item. Actually, I've squeezed the maximum out of my 'Real Winter Capsule', so I'm considering to store it and bring in the bag labelled as 'Primavera 01' into my wardrobe. Probably I'm too optimistic, as March usually is dissapointingly cold and even snowy!
Skirt and tights by Snag. Blouse and cardi are second hand from Sunday street market. Shearling coat (pre-loved) from Asos Marketplace boutique Bich. Brooch, a present by Veronica. Shoes by Camper. Scarf charity shopped. Usual cork bag by Fine Cork Portugal.
Zapatos Camper. Pañuelo de segunda mano (Cáritas). Bolso de corcho de Fine Cork Portugal.
Same skirt by Snag and some Snag tights too (not sponsored). Black shirt is second hand from Sunday street market, purple kimono-jacket by Eme, sneakers Adidas outlet and a necklace shopped retail ages ago. Green pullover and 80's gauze shirt are both second hand (old), crochet scarf-thing by myself.
Everything is pre-loved here, except coat (shopped retail, label Sophiacurvy), scarf by Eme, tights by Snag and sneakers by Adidas outlet. I'm particularly happy about having acquired this skirt for the incredible amount of 1€ (and it even has pockets!). Second hand stalls at our Sunday street market are one of my favourite places to go shopping, they have such bargains that can lead anyone into consumerism. So, in order to avoid overconsumption (even second-hand), I try to focus on quality. Actually I try to never buy anything if not better than clothes that I already own. Always be upgrading, as Sheila says. (Obviously, this not always happens!)
Winter is for colour, once more. I picked my red (lightweigh) coat by La Redoute (old) and turquoise trousers (CandA), with a blouse that was custom-made by a local retailer years ago. Rewearing my clothes again and again!. Shoes by Camper (so comfy).
I've managed to keep my cyclamen alive for some months, which is an achievement. I put this pot in a shady corner and ignored it, and it has worked!. On the other hand, my geraniums are recovering from a pesky plague which almost killed them and will return in the summer for sure (I've considered covering them in mosquito nets, as insecticides are so toxic!). The Viburnum is nearly to bloom too!
Sorry, I'm running late!. Still reading your blogs but lacking time to comment properly!
Wishing you a fab week!
Lovely outfits but my absolute favourite is the last one. Such fab colour combinations!
ResponderEliminarMy cyclamen died so I'm pleased to see your cyclamen looking so healthy.
The weather where you are sounds strange but then the weather is doing strange things everywhere at the moment...

Fantastic outfits, Monica! It's so rewarding to get lots of wear out of items in your wardrobe, isn't it? You're right about March often bringing worse weather, if it's going to snow here it's more likely in March and April than before Xmas.
ResponderEliminarIt's tricky not adding to your wardrobe especially when I have to shop to make a living - I inevitably find something I need to keep!
I love cyclamens, they're usually really hardy but the -10°C we had in December killed several of the ones in our window boxes off! xxx
spring on legs aka monica!
ResponderEliminarjust wow! your colour combinations are very inspiring - and your shopping is too. its easy to shop ex&hopp items if they are so cheap - but sheila is right: always be upgrading!
my fav this time is the outfit with the full flower printed skirt and that gorgeous scarf. and i love the bold brooch vronni gave you......
great success with your plants!
xxxx
Once again your colourful outfits are a sight for sore eyes! You're absolutely right, by the way, rewearing one's clothes again and again and thus getting the most out of them is the way forward. Still, I am more than ready for a change of season too!
ResponderEliminarMy favourite this week is the one with the gorgeous black floral € 1 skirt!
Well done on keeping your Cyclamen alive. I've been overwintering my plants in the passageway where it's a little bit warmer, so I'm living in hope that at least some of them survived the cold snap we had in December and January! Besos xxx
Your flowers are so lovely, Monica! Thank you so much for the kind shout-out - I also find it hard to restrain myself when I find something interesting, even if it isn't a great quality item or I have something like it already. Guilty! :D
ResponderEliminarI love that you're rewearing your skirt over and over (my fave outfit is the purple/black one), and how lovely that full skirt has pockets!
Keep up the colours! Your hair braids and eye make-up are stellar!!
