Summer (Again And Again)

I've been busy last weeks, as it's taking ages to adapt myself to Mr.A.'s new timetable, which has changed our routine definitively. Most mundane tasks have to be accomplished in the evenings or wait until Saturday morning (as most people do!). We cook from scrap (mostly local products) and that's not going to change. But we have to create a weekly menu, not just going to the market and buy whatever seasonal ingredient that tickle our fancy and cook it immediately. However, even if we're leading a less spontaneous lifestyle, we have more free time to enjoy together and less stress, which makes a difference!

Estas últimas semanas he estado bastante ocupada, todavía adaptándome a los nuevos horarios de Mr.A., que han cambiado nuestras rutinas del todo. Ahora sólo nos podemos ocupar de las 'tareas de mantenimiento' por la tarde o dejarlas para el sábado por la mañana (como hace casi todo el mundo!). Seguimos haciendo comida casera (y local), pero ahora hay que tener un menú semanal, no simplemente ir al mercado y comprar cualquier producto de temporada que te apetezca y cocinarlo en el día. Sin embargo, aunque nuestro estilo de vida sea menos espontáneo, hemos ganado en tranquilidad y en tiempo libre juntos, lo que marca la diferencia!.

Back to a favourite background, the city walls!. And wearing another Repeat Offender, that dress that I shopped at PuntRoma last year and wore lots of times since then. We walk frequently through that old door when going to the public library (also when going to a terrace to have a beer).

De vuelta en uno de mis lugares clásicos para foto, las murallas de la ciudad. Y llevando otro de mis Reincidentes, un vestido que compré el año pasado en PuntRoma y he llevado montones de veces desde entonces. Pasamos frecuentemente por la puerta de la muralla, cuando vamos a la biblioteca pública (o cuando vamos a alguna terraza a tomar una cervecita!).

Something new to show!. I wore for the first time that crochet top and a pre-loved skirt. That top was crocheted some weeks ago, but never worn, as it's warmer than expected and the weather is still summery here. But I plan to wear it with some skirts and trousers in the Autumn. That skirt was another find at Sunday street market, actually it was a dress but I removed its top (something I do frequently!).

Y ahora algo Nuevo!. Estrenando un top hecho en ganchillo y una falda (de segunda mano). Este jersey lo acabé hace unas semanas pero todavía no lo había usado, ya que da más calor de lo que esperaba, y todavía hace calor aquí. Pero tengo pensado ponérmelo con algunas faldas y pantalones ya en otoño. Esta falda es otro hallazgo en los puestos de segunda mano del mercadillo del domingo, en realidad era un vestido pero le quité la parte de arriba (es algo que hago a menudo!).

That dress came from Vinted and it's becoming a favourite one!. It's really comfy and totally a 'wear-wash-repeat' kind of dress, so it's a firm candidate for my next baggage. And totally a repeat offender, as I wore it twice in a row. Firstly I just accessorized it with lots of bijouterie and a hat. Next day I wore a crochet cardi as it was a chilly morning (12ºC).

Este vestido es de Vinted y se está convirtiendo en uno de mis favoritos. Muy cómodo y el tipo de vestido que se lava en un momento y está listo de nuevo, así que lo tengo muy presente a la hora de planear mi próximo equipaje. Y además es otro Reincidente, porque me lo puse dos veces seguidas. Primeramente con una buena cantidad de bisutería y un sombrerito. Y al día siguiente me puse una chaqueta de ganchillo, porque la mañana estaba fresca (12ºC).

Another crochet cardi over a summer dress!. Lots of colours, so lots of possibilities to mix and match. I've worn that dress many times since shopped it on February (Vinted). Sandals by Chiruca (old).

Otra vez la misma chaquetita de ganchillo sobre otro vestido de verano. Tiene montones de colores, lo que significa montones de posibilidades de combinar y mezclar. Este vestido lo he llevado montones de veces desde que lo compré en febrero en Vinted. Sandalias de Chiruca (como de costumbre).

That's a classic colour combo and very summery (in my book). That dress came from Vinted, and it was a lucky find, as it's the second time I buy that same dress!. That second-one jacket came from Sunday street market, not the best fit but great colour. Sandals by Chiruca. Necklace from an artisan fair.

Esta combinación clásica de colores es muy veraniega (en mi opinión). Este vestido es de Vinted, y fue un hallazgo afortunado: es la segunda vez que me compro el mismo vestido!. La chaqueta también es de segunda mano del mercadillo, y no me convence mucho la hechura pero el color es estupendo. Sandalias de Chiruca. El collar es de una feria artesana.

That's another new piece in my Heatwave Capsule, a dress from Vinted (label Toscane) which is really lightweight and easy to wear. The weather was really summery last week!

Este vestido es otra reciente adquisición de Vinted y muy adecuado para las olas de calor, ya que es ligerísimo y fácil de llevar. El tiempo ha sido de pleno verano la semana pasada.

That's another repeat offender that I wear every time I need a comfy outfit!. And it's also perfect for changing weather as it includes that crochet cardi-vest. Trousers came from a clearance sale-outlet, and top was self-sewed. Sandals by Chiruca (again!). Sunnies were a birthday present. Beads were charity shopped.

Este es otro reincidente que me pongo cada vez que necesito algo cómodo. Y también es muy adecuado para días de tiempo cambiante, ya que incluye esta chaqueta-chaleco de ganchillo. Pantalón de una liquidación-outlet, y top de costura propia. Sandalias de Chiruca, otra vez!. Gafas de sol fueron un regalo de mi cumple. Collar de bolitas de una tienda solidaria.

My latest finds!. I found that psychedelic fantasy dress in a second hand stall at Sunday street market, totally vintage and totally not my size, but I think it can be revamped into something that fits me (probably a mini kaftan). Anyway, if you're interested in that dress (34cm waist and 45cm armhole to armhole), please let a comment (I'll send you for free!), because my sewing pile is out of control.
The second dress came from Vinted (label Collusion), and it's a massive thing, halfway between a circus tarpaulin and something designed by Agatha Ruiz de la Prada. Probably I'll remove its sleeves and give it a better fitting. Even if I don't care too much about 'flattering', I don't want to look like a full sail galleon. But I still see a lot of potential here!

Mis últimas adquisiciones. Encontré esta fantasía psicodélica de vestido en un puesto de segunda mano del mercadillo, y es totalmente vintage y totalmente diminuto, pero creo que puedo convertirlo en algo que me pueda poner (probablemente un mini-kaftán). De todos modos, si os interesa el vestido (mide 34cm de cintura y 45cm de sisa a sisa), por favor dejadme un comentario, porque la verdad es que tengo un montón de costura pendiente. El segundo vestido es de Vinted (marca Collusion), y es una cosa enorme, a medio camino entre una lona del circo y un diseño de Agatha Ruiz de la Prada. Lo voy a ajustar y puede que le quite las mangas. Porque, aunque no me preocupe que la ropa me haga parecer delgada y tal, tampoco me apetece parecer un galeón a toda vela. Pero veo mucho potencial!
